In the bright midday
sun, the water of The Red Sea displays a spectrum of blue. Almost
a dozen explanations for its name have been given, but all remain speculation.
We have our own explanation. On some winter evenings, immediately after
sunset, The Red Sea is ablaze in an orgy of red. If only for a
few precious moments, the sky glows in a display of orange and red fireworks,
and colours ranging from ruby to deep violet are reflected in the water,
turning the Red Sea into its namesake.
Host to the most
Northerly coral reef in the world and plunging to over 2000 metres deep,
The Red Sea maintains an almost constant temperature throughout the
year, making it a haven for both divers and those seeking sunshine,
beaches and warm, clear waters.
Turtles, Sharks, Moray Eels, Dolphins and Rays take their place among
the diverse marine life found in this sea, and may be experienced by
the most casual observer.
Come and experience for yourself a wonder you will never, ever forget.
